The Window Inspector

Use this inspector to peer behind windows and the navigator. Type an address in the top field and tap [Load Window] to load an HTML document into the inspector (top right window). Then tap on [Inspect Window] and wait a second or two. The inspector will produce an overview of the window's contents. You can inspect navigator properties with the [Inspect Navigator] button.

Discussion

 Inspection. The JavaScript Cookbook Inspector lets you look at "live" views of windows, expressions and the navigator. Use the top field to load ../GAMES/DICE.HTM and then press [Inspect Window] to inspect it. This window contains two selection lists (number and sides of dice). Change either selection and reload the inspector. The form elements update to reflect the new selection.

The "Potsie" game, ../GAMES/DICEBOX2.HTM, provides a good example of inspecting multiple frames.

The navigator. Inspect the navigator by tapping on the [Inspect Navigator] button. This will present the properties stored in the navigator.
